Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig 21st September, 1983). 21, 1983) is an acclaimed American actress. She is most famously known for her role played Shannon Rutherford from ABC's Lost television show, as well as Kim Mills for the Taken Trilogy. After her parents' divorce, she left Worthington in Ohio and moved in Los Angeles. She landed her debut role as Rachel's Room's title character, in 2001 despite struggling in the financial department. She went on to earn an Young Artist Award nomination in 2002 with her portrayal of fifteen-year-old victim Martha Moxley in the television movie Murder set in Greenwich. Grace was Shannon Rutherford on the Lost TV show in 2004. She played the lead role for two seasons, and won a Screen Actors Guild Award. Leaving the series Grace was keen to work as a film actress, and had starred opposite Tom Welling in The Fog in 2005. The actress was as Kim Mills in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club (both 2007) as well as opposite Liam Neeson as Kim Mills in Taken in 2008. The actress reprised her character as Kim Mills in Taken 2 (2011) and Taken 3 (2013).She also played Alice in Malice in Wonderland, a modern adaptation to the Lewis Carroll novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace was back on the Lost series for the last two episodes playing Shannon. The year was 2013, and she appeared in the sixth series of Californication. She portrays Faith as a female groupie and also a model for stars. Hank Moody is played by David Duchovny. Gyllenhaal is a member of her family and is the elder sibling of Jake Gyllenhaal. When she was in her teens, she played small parts in films made by her father. She also was co-starring with her brother in Donnie Darko, a popular cult movie. Later, she was in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (both 2002) and Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal has received critical praise for her leading roles in Secretary (2002 an erotic romantic drama) as well as Sherrybaby (606) and Sherrybaby (606) that earned the actress Golden Globe Award nods. In the wake of several successful commercial films in 2006, including World Trade Center she received greater recognition for her performance as Rachel Dawes in the superhero film The Dark Knight (2008). After her successful performance as a single mother of Crazy Heart (2009), she earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Following that she appeared in comedy and dramatic films: Nanny McPhee & the Big Bang (2010) Hysteria 2011 and Won't Back Down 2012. The other roles she's played includes Secret Service agents in White House Down (2013 Action thriller) and actors in Frank (2014 Drama The Kindergarten Teacher 2018) as well as The kindergarten teacher. Gyllenhaal made her debut as a writer and director in 2021 with her psycho-drama The Lost Daughter. For the film, she won with the Best Screenplay Award at the Venice International Film Festival and received nominations for the Academy Award.
