Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is famous Indian actress, known for roles in Hum Aapke Hain Koun. She began her career in the 80s before coming to popularity with her role in the film Tezaab where she starred alongside the veteran actor Anil Kapoor. In her next film Dil, Aamir Khan appeared as well. When she was a kid, the Mumbai-born dancer began studying at a very early age. As a teenager, she began acting and suffered for several years due to the fact that her first films were failures. Then, she discovered success in Indian filmmaking and rose to the top. The marriage of her mother led to an interruption in her professional career. She returned later. She played a major role on Gulaab Gang, a film that explores the struggles of women in India. Dixit was awarded fifteen Filmfare Awards nominations, of which eight she won. Padma Shri was awarded to her, which is India's fourth highest civil honor. The award was also given to her by the field of social work.
