MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The Latin popular music scene has been affected through his worldwide popularity. Una Lady Como Tu from 2016 was awarded a Colombian Kids Choice Award as Favorite Song for the year 2017. In 2017, he dropped ADN, his first long-player to La Industria Inc. in Medellin. It reached the top 8 spot on the Top Latin Albums Chart. In the following year, he joined forces with Ozuna to create Vaina Loca which reached number five on the Top Latin Albums chart. In 2020, he collaborated with Noriel for Mala Influencia and then released her debut album Dopamina in the following year. In 2021 he recorded the duet to TINI's smash track Maldita Foto. The singer appeared with him in 2023 for 2000, featuring the huge hit La Bachata. Turizo was a member of the musical home of his family. Both his younger brother and his mother are each musicians. In interviews, Turizo has said that music is essential. As a child he learned to play saxophone guitar ukulele and piano. He initially wanted to be a vet, but after his brother Julian convinced to him take lessons in singing with the help of a Cuban musician, he rearranged his career plans.
