Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a clan of musicians. Growing up, she listened to classical music, old boleros in addition to the traditional ballads of ranchero and romance. Ana is passionate about singing tangos as well as operas. Additionally, she enjoys the dramatic stage. Her mother taught her to sing. She began more intensive vocal training under Flavio Belcerra in the age of 16 when Belcerra was an internationally renowned Mexican opera Tenor. The singer continued her education in the field of music with the School of Music of Guadalajara University and later at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. The singer performed on stage in Guadalajara, Mexico City and various cities while a student and professional. She sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to southern California. She is a current member of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and is a frequent solo performer of the traditional Latin American music at private occasions. Ana is involved in a variety of local organizations, both as a teacher and performer, due to her passion for music and art. Ana is also a past singer in the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana finds it a privilege to be able communicate with other people her love for the traditional Latin American music. She hopes this can inspire younger generations to keep this tradition going.
